Keep Your Credit Cards Active

Automated charges prevent closures due to inactivity.

You pick the amount and schedule. Stripe handles the rest.

Built by Abe Hanoka — payments engineer and dj-stripe maintainer.

The Problem

Credit card issuers close accounts with no activity for 12-24 months. When they do:

  • Your credit utilization ratio goes up
  • Your average account age goes down
  • Your credit score takes a hit

If you have cards you rarely use but want to keep open, you need activity. Charj automates that.

How It Works

1

Add cards

Enter card details through Stripe's form. We never see or store card numbers.

2

Set schedule

Pick your amount ($0.50+) and frequency: daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.

3

Done

Charges run automatically. Your cards stay active. Cancel anytime.

Why Trust This

I'm Abe Hanoka. I'm a payments engineer and maintainer of dj-stripe, the most popular Django library for Stripe integration.

I've built payment systems that have processed over $1M in transactions:

  • One8.io — parking payments with Stripe Connect
  • MergeCal — paid SaaS
  • dj-stripe — open source Stripe integration for Django

I built Charj because I heard from people who lost credit cards to inactivity. It's a simple problem with a simple solution.

Card data is handled entirely by Stripe. Charj never sees or stores card numbers. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.
What's the minimum charge?
$0.50. That's the smallest amount Stripe can reliably process.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel through your dashboard or Stripe's portal. No fees, no questions.
How many cards can I add?
No limit. Each card gets its own subscription.
Will small charges hurt my credit score?
No. Small recurring charges don't negatively impact your score. Keeping accounts open and active is what matters.
